Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch Totally Destroyed
One of the saddest impacts from Hurricane Milton fell on the Palm City Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch.
News spread quickly that the ranch had been devastated by a tornado, leaving the rescue with a total loss. On social media, the staff posted that "windows are blown in, buildings are on their side, and our outdoor yards and runs are completely destroyed. Power lines are down, and we are truly speechless."
Here's how Furry Friends describes their organization:
Despite the devastation, we are resuming our vital work with the goal of saving every adoptable animal in Florida. The extraordinary community support along with the temporary intake facility will ensure the we can remain a first-line partner to struggling shelters and rescues across South and Central Florida and throughout the state!
The animals remain safe, but the group believes they are looking at MILLIONS of dollars of damage. They've appealed for help, requesting donations, fosters, and volunteers to help them recover and care for the animals.
Furry Friends has always supported others, and now others are reaching out to support them. They've received lots of foster inquiries, and people have driven from as far as Ohio to adopt from them! They recently secured a temporary intake facility located at the Palm Beach

They've already set up kennels, organized food/enrichment/medical areas, and purchased new washer/dryers. Volunteers are definitely needed and appreciated!
